Unencumbered by scuba gear, Estrella could move pretty quickly too. She dives
using 4ft fins and no mask. “She told us about her process for holding her breath,
and how it’s not a lack of oxygen that makes you feel like you need to breathe, it’s
a build up of carbon dioxide,” reveals Miko.
“She has all these tricks to fool her mind, like shifting a breath between her
lungs and her mouth. She’s an incredible athlete.”
