selves for life, not just the next grade,”

produce content used to complete their
projects.”
Students in fifth through seventh
grade attend the physical school Monday through Thursday and then on Friday they work from their home or alternative sites. Fridays also allow for
students to work on their projects,
meet with a mentor or perform community service. The students also

the library.
SOAR has strong partnerships with
the Land O’ Lakes Community Library, the Conserve School and the
Land O’ Lakes Artisans.
School officials said SOAR plans on

school year.
Richie said the face of education has
changed at Northland Pines.
“The Northland Pines School District has really stepped up to provide
the tools and resources available to

Students at the SOAR charter school in the Northland Pines
School District participate in many outdoor research projects as
part of their learning experience. The school is located in the
Land O’ Lakes Elementary School.
