Pawz n’ Clawz Natural Pet Food
gets warm reception in North Woods
Pawz n’ Clawz Natural Pet Food and
Grooming, located at 1012 Lincoln St.
in Rhinelander, is one of the most recent business additions to the North
Woods area, having opened its doors
last August.
“It’s amazing how the people of the
North Woods have responded to our
store,” said owner Shirlee Gallagher.
“It’s been an extremely positive experience. It really makes it worthwhile
when you see how happy people are
when they see their dog’s or cat’s
health improve because they’ve made
the switch to a healthier food for their
pet.”
Owners Dan and Shirlee Gallagher,
along with store manager April Peter,
provide a large selection of all-natural
dog and cat foods. The source of protein
is of animal base and not plant-based,
according to Dan Gallagher.
“The specific animal protein content
of the foods Pawz n’ Clawz provides has
more nutrition and biological value to
your pet than foods that have plantbased proteins as their source,” he said.
Full-service grooming on any size
dog also is available seven days a week
by appointment. Dogs’ nails can be
trimmed anytime, and no appointment
is necessary.
Along with food, the business features a large selection of supplements,
toys, clothes, collars, leashes and more.
Brands include Fromm, American
Natural Premium, Orijen, Acana, Pulsar, Legacy, Amicus, Natural Balance,
Canine Caviar, Nature’s Variety,
Canidae, Blue Buffalo, Wellness,
Evangers, Go!, Now, Merrick and By
Nature. Also the following raw food
brands: Stella & Chewy’s, OC Raw, Nature’s Kitchen, Nature’s Variety and
Primal.
“None of our foods have corn, wheat
or soy that are so prevalent these days
in the brands found in the big-box
stores or grocery stores,” said Dan Gallagher. “We cater to customers who love
their pets and want to provide them
with food that offers the best ingredi-

That’s why you won’t see food where

corn or animal byproducts.”
Grooming is also important to your
dog’s well-being, according to Shirlee
Gallagher.
“Getting your dog on a regular
grooming schedule can make for a happy and healthier dog,” she said. “Regular visits ensure your dog will be inspected for cuts, ticks, fleas or anything
