On Tues 2nd December The Avalon public house welcomed a group of NCT Parents for lunch and drinks in their beautiful restaurant. Two long tables had been thoughtfully set up with room for buggies in between which meant that the younger clientele could nap peacefully whilst Mum/Dad got on with the serious business of devouring festive goodies.
The staff were attentive and very accommodating, especially of the mess that ensues post toddler meal time and for the number of baubles/salt and pepper pots/spoons and napkins that were collected and shared by the intrepid explorers of the group!
The menu offered a traditional Christmas Lunch or more of a bistro pub lunch, Salmon escalope or Rump steak followed by Iced Pear parfait or Banana Panettone…yummy! Needless to say we were very full by the end.
Our Christmas raffle raised just over £100 for the NCT and the lucky winners collected prizes ranging from free manicures, baby toys, wine and free music classes.
It was a lovely afternoon shared by all with opportunity to chat to new friends and relax with delicious provisions, a huge thank you to The Avalon and to all involved that made it happen.
