June 2018 The Sparta Ambassador Registration for CouleeCO.STARTERS Sparta is now open! The course begins Tuesday, July 24 th ! CO.STARTERS is a nine week entrepreneurial “boot camp,” that guides participants through the stages of starting, or growing a business. It provides a facilitated forum where prospective and existing entrepreneurs can collaborate, and work through their ideas together while receiving feedback in real time. Each week focuses on a different topic, and often involves guest speakers from the community to provide unique insight. The course culminates with a “pitch night” on the ninth week, where participants launch their business by giving their best two minute sales pitch in front of a live audience of their family, friends, and community members. This “pitch night” also serves as a celebration for the participants and their families, where they are able to showcase their products, and continue to celebrate their developing plans to launch their business. In our area, CO.STARTERS has helped launch several successful businesses; including: Shade Haven, Meringue Bakery, B & E’s Trees, The Mint, Prairie La Crosse, and others. Along with those businesses, CO.STARTERS has helped create upwards of 70 jobs in our region. Sparta…are you ready to get started?
