HEARING Eardrum Your ears are like funnels – they collect sound waves in your ear flaps and then they travel down your ear tube into your ear drum. The curved shape of your ears makes this easier to do. Down your ear tube there is more of your ear that you cannot see. There is a curled up tube called a cochlea, that looks like a snail and this turns all of the sounds you hear into messages for your brain.
