Fact or Fiction ?

Obviously the Minotaur was not real , but it might have been based on a bull , which was considered sacred in ancient Minoan times .
There was a period of time when Athens paid tribute [ money ] to the Cretans and part of this may have been humans . A hero could have fought back and saved Athens from having to pay this tribute . The labyrinthine layout of the rooms at the Palace of Knossos in Crete explains this part of the story .
Whatever is true , it ’ s still an amazing story !
Rosie , age 7 , says : “ I love travelling , nature , history and writing stories . I ' m home educated , which means I get to learn about all the topics I find interesting . I ' m never happier than when I ' m covered in mud , playing in the woods !”

MAGNETIC ATTRACTION

ZING ! Magnets are super fun for playing with as they are full of surprises . Not only do they demonstrate an example of opposites attract ( pull toward one another ) or repel ( push away ) but you can make many items stick to them and create force as you try to pull two magnets apart . In fact , magnets are so useful that they are used in many ways around us … inside a compass , on or in the kitchen fridge , for special trains and even by vets during operations !
