A few days before the Potential Plus party , I was asked by Potential Plus if I would like to interview people with a recorder ( the machine , not the instrument ). I was sooooo excited when I said yes . I just couldn ’ t wait !

We arrived quite early so that I could learn how to use the machine . I tested it by interviewing my parents . Then I started doing it properly on other people . I asked them whether I could interview them and all of them said yes . That was really nice of them , and helpful .

Everyone I interviewed was given set questions . One of my questions asked what Potential Plus had done for them . Very common answers were “ It helped my bright child because it has given them challenges that they couldn ’ t do before and they have persevered and been resilient ” and “ My children have made lots of friends through

Potential Plus , who are just like them . I have made friends through it , too .”

The answers I got were fairly similar except for Denise Yates and Johnny Ball . Denise ’ s comment was different because she ’ d been at Potential Plus for 12 years and had been Chief Executive ( the leader ) for 10 of those years . Johnny Ball told me that he had been invited by Potential Plus to come to talks and events and correct any mistakes in maths .

I really enjoyed interviewing . It was such fun ! If you haven ’ t interviewed before , try it ! You can interview anyone – you don ’ t need a recorder !
