The fringe is kept long and swept to one side. 1970s The Mohican was for punk rock music fans. The head was shaved except for a strip in the middle. They used crazy ingredients to make the remaining hair stiffen up with eggs or glue, or used hairspray, a wax or hair gel. Plaits are still a favourite for girls as proved by Elsa from Frozen. Three strands of hair in plaits have been worn for centuries – there is even rock art showing it. SPARK 7
