50 BC
Roman Emperor Julius
Caesar wore his hair

forward from his crown.

300 BC
In ancient Greece men and women’s hair
was very different. Men's hair was short
and occasionally shaved. Women had long
hair pulled back into a chignon (a kind of
bun). Many dyed their hair red and sprinkled
it with gold powder, adding fresh flowers!
200s
Monks and nuns in
the Christian church
had the crown of
their hair shaved, so
they had a bald spot!
