There are only four miles
between the Kelpies and
the Falkirk Wheel, the
world’s only rotating boat
lift. If you put a double
decker bus on top of the
Kelpies, you would get the
height of the Falkirk Wheel.
The Wheel joins the Union
Canal and the Forth and
Clyde Canal. In the olden
days it needed 11 locks to get
from one to the other. You
can take a boat trip on it and
see the view from high up.
