The Bird’s Nest was the main stadium built for
the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. It is the world’s
largest steel building. If you look closely at its
shape, you may notice that it resembles a crisscross pattern of twigs that forms a bird’s nest.
It is designed to be earthquake proof! The stadium
has eighty thousand seats. After the Olympic
Games, it became a place where Chinese people
and tourists could enjoy different sports activities.
Nowadays, Bird’s Nest is a Beijing landmark.
