How Lasers Work It's a machine that concentrates light waves over and over again until it emerges in a truly powerful beam. Starting off with weak light waves, it adds more light of exactly the same colour so there is a great amount. The laser makes billions of atoms pump out trillions of the light particles all at once so they line up to form a very intense light beam which can be used over and over again, which is very different from the sun or a lightbulb. World Record Breaking! Hong Kong’s nightly show, A Symphony of Lights, is officially the world’s largest permanent light and sound show. It boasts laser beams moving in time to music which light up the main buildings with rainbow colours and dancing lights along Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour. The laser beams are intended to sweep the dark night away and maintain the city’s energy. https://youtu.be/cVMrVHiJiI4 Photo: Pang Ka Kit 14 SPARK
