that was John Foxx. Midge Ure bought out his second album " Answers to Nothing" which to me is one of my favourite LPs as a solo artist - this was when i started buying CD´s - (i had bought the tape originally and then exchanged it for the CD paying the difference) - 1998 ran into 1989 and it was then that i was planning to move to Spain aged 17. I moved to Spain in March 1990 and kept in contact with the music scene in the UK.
Billy Currie had teamed up in 1992 with Tony Fenelle for an album called " Revelation" which i have never heard. I continued following the career of Midge Ure, through his albums "Pure" 1991 and then " Breathe" in 1996, the title track being from the Swatch ad. "Move me" came in the year 2000 with an amazing track that makes my hairs go on end called "Beneath a Spielberg Sky" - a heart stopping guitar solo stops you in your tracks. "Little Orphans" came out in 2001 and he had been doing a lot of concerts and special live appearances including
once with Howard Jones for Howard Jones´s 20th anniversary concert in 2005 who are great friends (BIG FAN of HJ as well!)
Suddenly in 2009 came the news of a FULL Ultravox reunion for a UK tour called "Return to Eden" almost the same title as their 1981 LP " Rage in Eden" - one of the LPs i had borrowed from the library as well as the 1982 LP "Quartet" - "Vienna" their first LP funnily enough i bought a few years later in 1990 in Spain
(work that one out!!) This doesnt mean that i hadnt heard all of their albums but i hadnt purchased them all in the RIGHT order as you can see.
