FIRE SPECIAL - A.C.E STORY

On the night that the fire was nearby we had to evacueed a house from one of our volunteers. She had 25 ACE (Animal Care España) dogs at her home.
2 dogs were so afraid that we had to leave them behind.
With a group of volunteers we monitored on the mountain above El Refugio from ACE.
We placed a lot of messages on the Facebook AceAce-charity asking volunteers to help us if it was necessary to evacueed. With 350 dogs not very easy to do.
At 11:45pm we had a phonecall from a volunteer from KIMS animal shelter, Kim was on Holiday and the wanted to bring the dogs to the refugio.
Not very easy because we did not have any space and for more than 2 weeks we do not have any water in our shelter.
30 dogs arrived on 00:15am in the Refugio.
At 4:20 am Fabienne went back to the house of the volunteer to save the 2 small dogs who were under the bed.
At 5:00 am the police told us to go home, the wind had turned and we were for now, save....
It was a very scary night for all of us.
