B R ANCH REPORT Bolton “The Samaj belongs to you and will continue in the coming years...” Th e l ast t welve months have passed so qu ickly since ou r term in office . A big thank you to all the previous Office bearers, Committee members and those who helped run the Samaj smoothly. Our two major events – Navratri and Diwali have already been planned and although there has been a decline in attendance over the years due to prior commitments and other interests dedicated members do attend. Various trips organised by the Mahila had to be cancelled due to a lack of response but others are still earmarked and hopefully will take place in the coming months. A charity event in aid of breast cancer had to be cancelled due to dates clashing with religious events but again this may take place in the future. Youth activities at the moment are on a backburner as with career and work commitments most Youths work or study away and do not have the time to support such activities in their busy schedules. Sports day was attended by usual participants and with the younger generation growing up and the support and encouragement from parents should increase in the coming years. The Samaj belongs to you and will continue in the coming years as once the younger generation have fulfilled their interests in work, they will return to continue the good work. For the moment we must take advantage of all our Samaj activities with or without the younger generation taking part. Samaj activities become a success if you come forward and be part of it rather than sit on the fence and be critical at the efforts of others. Finally, on behalf of the Management Committee A sincere thanks to all our members for their contribution and we wish each and every one a very Happy Diwali and prosperous New Year. vol. 40 | Prajapati Sandesh 2015 | www.prajapati.org.uk 63
