TREASURER REPORT
I hope to serve to the best OF my ability

I would like to express my gratitude to the Pratinidhis for placing their confidence in me and electing me as the Treasurer . I hope to serve you to the best of my ability . It would not be possible to carry out this task without the hard work that has been done to setup the system by Rajnikantbhai Mistry from Leicester . I am very fortunate to have the continued support from Rajnikantbhai and Bhupendrabhai from Wellingborough as my assistants this year . I hope that all the Officers , Pratinidhis and our accounts examiner Jay Mistry from London , will duly help me to fulfil this very important responsibility .
The remainder of the report is a brief outlook from the past year . We have had a mix of successful as well as not so successful events from a financial point of view , largely due to falling numbers in attendance at some events . Our Prajapati Sandesh also experienced a small loss this year , after a very long time , due to low number of adverts . However , we hope this is only a blip and it will continue to be self-financing and successful in the future .
As a charitable organisation SPA ( UK ) has made contributions to our chosen charity , as well as sponsoring individual student applications through grant applications made via the SPA ( UK ) ITF . I am very pleased to say that collectively with all branches , SPA ( UK ) has raised over £ 20,000 for its chosen charity ‘ Water Aid ’.
To continue to carry out our sports , social and cultural activities and charitable work in the future , SPA ( UK ) does need to top up its funds . We will therefore be holding fund raising activities for SPA ( UK ).
The Nairobi Trust Fund ’ s income has also been used to fund charitable causes through ITF . The current value of the fund at the end of the financial period stood at £ 109,643 , of which £ 12,054 is available for charity use .
The repayment of the loan given to London Branch has been consistent with the repayment terms and I am very pleased to say that it has now been fully repaid .
