he Prince of Wales is located in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake and it has been the longstanding epicenteroffering luxury accommodations,

afternoon tea, fine dining and wonderful spa experiences. The newly renovated Secret Garden Spa has gone from Victorian splendor to chic and contemporary giving the 5,100 square foot spa a total transformation. The lounge offers very comfy ‘body’ seating, a large freshwater aquarium and a cozy fireplace. Take notice of the antique mantel on the fireplace, it is original to the 144-year-old Prince of Wales hotel and stands as one of the only reminders to guests enjoying this state-of-the-art spa that they are actually sitting within a very historic building.

The treatments are quite unique and the spa offers signature treatments that are very popular. The Beau-teas signature treatments are all about tea extracts and are infused right into the products. The Secret Garden Spa was one of the first spas in Canada to embrace tea therapy. These luxury treatments are enjoyed in a 55 minute facial body wrap or pedicure. All of these signature treatments can also be experienced at oncein the ‘Head to Toe Taster’ package, which includes all three offerings, a 25-minute facial and body wrap and 55-minute pedicure. It is simply luxurious and let me say this – well worth the $225. The range of other treatments offered includes numerous facials, hydrating and anti-aging that use the well-respected Babor line. One thing for sure you can't go wrong with any of the choices I'm sure they will deliver wonderful results. There are a variety of relaxing massages that will distress you in an instant too. Don’t forget about the young folks, there are unique treatments for youth including fancy manicures and pedicures for little ones!

I think one of the best experiences you can treat yourself to is a Secret Garden Spa treatment and then go upstairs and enjoy traditional afternoon tea in The Drawing Room afterwards. Feeling relaxed and distressed and then sitting down to a wonderfully decadent tea service is just about as close to wonderful as you can get! That is what the Secret Garden Spa is all about, taking the time and experiencing wonderful all in one day!
