aren McKee worked many years in the health industry as a registered nurse. She operated a pain clinic and spent 15 years in doctors' offices and hospitals, as a medical sales representative.

Karen became concerned about the amount of medications people were taking and felt that there were natural options for combating pain and stress. She ventured to India and studied at an herbal hospital that specialized in natural healing practices, many using heat therapy. In 1995, Karen discovered microwaveable remedies that she thought were very impressive.

Karen experimented, and developed new products. She approached massage therapists and exhibited at craft fairs. People were buying her products and loving them. The products had cozy designer fabrics and held heat for a long time. Testing proved that they were very safe to use. The products can all be put in the freezer for very effective cold applications. Warm Buddy products have been tested extensively and have been approved as a Class 1 medical device by Health Canada. They have sold over a million products in the past 18 years. All Warm Buddy heat packs are made in Canada and provide many years of comfort.

"Warm Buddy awareness steadily increased as more spas found us," karen says.

"Spas use our products in their services and clients get first hand experience using them. Clients want to purchase them and take them home."
