Every year it seems there’s a new beauty trend. One of the newest trends is lash extensions. You’ve probably heard of them, seen friends with them, considered them. For those of us born with light or minimal lashes these are the answer to long natural looking lashes. However no two lashes are the same and it can be overwhelming deciding on which lashes to choose. The industry has been inundated with all sorts of kinds, lengths and brands including fakes.

A well-known and respected brand is Everlash, which is made in Germany and offers a synthetic, real looking and feeling lash system. Proven, trusted they offer a complete system from start to finish. Fernanda’s Beauty and Spa Supplies based in Mississauga, Ontario offers Everlash Eyelash Extension classes for aestheticians who want to add eyelash extensions to their spa menu. It is a full daylong class with instructor Jackie Westland who demonstrates flare and single lash techniques. The flare style is a cluster of eyelashes on one stem that is adhered to a single lash by glue. This gives a fuller, more impact look. The other type is the individual lash that are too adhered to a lash to keep it stable and it gives a soft, sultry look. These two looks are what the industry is all about. Students are then able to practice on one another for the remainder of the course time to receive practical hands on training and learn the skills and techniques of both looks.

The certification classes have a small student to instructor ratio to better your learning.  Jackie introduces and provides product knowledge, demonstrates and explains the application process to all students. The satisfaction of this course and company is the lashes are German engineered and made so you know what you are putting on your eyes. Once the course has been completed each course attendee will receive a certificate and start up kit that is included in their course fee. Fernanda’s will also be offering an advanced course using medical grade glue for a more permanent eyelash extension. The work for the aesthetician is painstakingly meticulous; attaching a lash extension one by one to single lashes is an art. Learn with instructional and practical training and use these superb products for great success in your spa!
