Commitment to excellence is a common theme in the Fire Department ; we continue to push to elevate our level of service for the betterment of the community .
1Each year Southlake ’ s Emergency Medical Services are evaluated to ensure that the foremost procedures and medications are being utilized by our program to yield the best possible life safety outcomes for the patients we treat . Our program reached several important benchmarks in FY 16 : cardiac arrest survival rate for patients treated in Southlake is 38 % against the national average of 11 % and 70 % of all cardiac arrest patients arrived at the hospital with self generated cardiac activity .
