Plattekill man arrested on Florida fugitive warrant
A Plattekill man was arrested on Friday on a charge of being a fugitive from justice from the State of Florida . Antonio Camacho-Colon , 41 , was wanted for a probation violation stemming from a conviction for assault-related charges .
Earlier this week , Ulster County Sheriff ’ s deputies and members of the United States Marshals NY / NJ Regional Fugitive Taskforce began an investigation into the whereabouts of Camacho-Colon . On Friday morning he was located at a business in the Town of Newburgh .
Camacho-Colon was taken into custody and turned over to the Orange County Sheriff ’ s Office , where he will be held pending extradition to Florida .

Rte 32 bridge discussed
The board said there may be a period of two weeks in the near future when the newly opened Route 32 bridge may have to be closed because some additional concrete work is needed on the structure . Croce said he will be speaking with the bridge company to see if one lane could remain open or that work be done at night in order to avoid serious delays or re-establishment of a detour .
Justice Audit
Supervisor Croce said he received a letter , dated December 28 , 2017 , from the NYS Unified Court System that asked for the town Justices to provide their records and dockets to the town ’ s auditor for review and that findings be entered into the town ’ s records . The goal of the audit is to ensure accountability and control over the court ’ s finances and records .
The state has asked that Plattekill provide a copy to them of the audit of the court ’ s records , fiscal year ending December 31 , 2017 .
On January 12 Croce indicated that he received a signed letter from Town Justices , Annamaria Maciocia and Robert Murphy , attesting that their records are now available for review and confirmation . The Town Board indicated they will examine the records by the deadline of March 1 .

Daniel A . Santiago , 23 , of Wappingers Falls , was arrested Feb . 4 and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after the vehicle he was operating was stopped for traffic violations on Rte . 299 in Highland . He was released on tickets and is due in Town Court Feb . 22 .
Joseph M . Reilly , 23 , of Highland , was arrested Feb . 3 on a bench warrant for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree . He was arraigned before Town of Lloyd Judge Elia and released and is due back in Town Court Feb . 8 .
Jimmie J . Knox Jr ., 50 , of Poughkeepsie , was arrested Feb . 2 on a bench warrant for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree . He was arraigned before Town of Lloyd Judge Elia and remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $ 500 cash bail , $ 1,500 insurance bond and is due back in Town Court Feb . 13 .
Jason M . Horaz , 34 , of Newburgh , was arrested Feb . 1 on a bench warrant for Petit Larceny . He was arraigned before Town of Lloyd Judge Rizzo and released on a fine . He is due back in Town Court March 1 .
Joseph E . Tippa , 42 , of Poughkeepsie , was arrested Jan . 31 and charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd degree . He is accused of violating a Town of Poughkeepsie Court Order of Protection . He was arraigned before Town of Lloyd Judge Rizzo and remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $ 2,500 cash bail , $ 5,000 insurance bond and is due back in Town Court Feb . 27 .
Brittnay S . Carroll , 28 , of Amenia , was arrested Feb . 3 on a bench warrant for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree . She was arraigned before Town of Lloyd Judge Elia and remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $ 500 cash bail , $ 1,000 insurance bond and is due back in Town Court Feb . 8 .
Michael J . Morgan , 56 , of Poughkeepsie , was arrested Feb . 1 on a bench warrant for Criminal Contempt 2nd from the City of Poughkeepsie Police . He was turned over to the City of Poughkeepsie Police on the warrant .
Joseph V . Garguilo , Jr ., 57 , of Pleasant Valley , was arrested Feb . 1 on a bench warrant for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree and Tampering with Evidence . He was arraigned before Town of Lloyd Judge Elia and remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $ 5,000 cash bail , $ 15,000 insurance bond and is due back in Town Court Feb . 8 .
Christopher L . Brandt , 26 , of Highland , was arrested Feb . 2 and charged with Criminally Possessing a Hypodermic Instrument after the vehicle he was operating was stopped for traffic violations on Hurds Rd . in the Town of Lloyd . Brandt was also wanted on a felony bench warrant for Grand Larceny 3rd degree from the New York State Police Brewster barracks . Brandt was released on an appearance ticket and is due in Town Court March 1 . He was then turned over to the New York State Police on the warrant .

Mercedes Melara , 44 , of Highland , was arrested Jan . 27 and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of Motor Vehicle – 3rd and Operation of a Motor Vehicle without Inspection . Melara was released on own recognizance and is due in Town Court Feb . 20 .

Alex Sanchez , 29 , of Fresh Meadows , was arrested Feb . 1 and charged with Operation of an Unregistered Motor Vehicle on Highway , Aggravated Unlicensed Oper . – 2nd : 3 / More Open Suspensions on 3 / More Dates , Illegal Signal : less than 100 Feet and Failure to Keep to the Right . Sanchez was released on his own recognizance and is due in Town Court Feb . 28 .

Charles McDaniel , 34 , of Gardiner was arrested Jan . 31 and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 2nd , a Class U-Misdemeanor . McDaniel was issued an Appearance Ticket and is due in Town Court Feb . 16 .
Nersy Ariasmazariego , 23 , of Wallkill was arrested Feb . 1 and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 2nd , a Class U-Misdemeanor . Ariasmazariego was issued an Appearance Ticket and is due in Town Court Feb . 16 .
Nina Palm , 19 , of Newburgh was arrested Feb . 1 and charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana , a Violation . Palm was stopped for a traffic violation when officers detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle . When questioned , Palm turned the marijuana over to the officer . Palm was issued an Appearance Ticket and is due in Town Court Feb . 16 .

Laurie Legname , 54 , of Rhinebeck was arrested Feb . 2 and charged with Harassment 2nd , a Violation . Legname is accused of repeatedly calling an acquaintance and after being warned by police to cease the phone calls she continued calling . Legname was issued an Appearance Ticket and is due in Town Court Feb . 16 .
Anthony Perez , 36 , of Plattekill was arrested Feb . 3rd and charged with Assault 3rd , two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child , class A-Misdemeanors and Harassment 2nd , a Violation . Perez is accused in a complaint that in the presence of a six and nine year old children he punched a 26 year old pregnant female in the face causing a laceration to her lip . Perez was arraigned by Plattekill Justice Murphy and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $ 1,500 Cash Bail or $ 2,000 Bond . An Order of Protection was issued .
