The Townesmen & Shelly are thrilled to announce their latest Recording Project… “What A Great Day.” Recently they made the trip back to beautiful K-Studios in the heart of the Smoky Mountains and to the land of Southern Gospel Music for a three day recording experience.

Pastor Mitch Burch owner and CEO of the group said, “This place, these people, and this studio are some of the best in the business.”

His lifelong friend and member of the original SGG Family of Artists, Greg Alexander, is the owner of K-Studios and is also the producer and engineer of two of the Townesmen & Shelly’s projects.

Big Jeff Alliston, Bass singer for the group says, “K-Studios and the staff are off the charts great people to work with and join with in ministry.”

The project features a brand new song written by Pastor Mitch and is the title cut for the new album, “What a Great Day.”

When asked to describe the song Pastor Mitch said, “It’s one of those good ol’e Southern Gospel songs that sticks with you melodically and whose words speak directly about a day just ahead for the believer. A day that can only be described as the greatest of all days!”

You will find yourself singing along and patting your foot as you listen.

The Townesmen & Shelly are pleased to feature the newest member of the Quartet on a couple different songs, Pastor Ben Liston. You will be blessed by Ben’s clear lead/tenor voice as he sings a classic, “Hide Thou Me,” and a great cut of “John The Revelator.” His voice will help tell the story of these two great songs.

What would a Townesmen & Shelly Album be without the sweet voice of Rochelle (Shelly) Burch. Shelly loves to sing this great cut of the Song, “Celebrate Me Home.”

She says of the song, “It always touches my heart when I sing this song because I can just envision my Daddy up in

heaven just waiting to Celebrate Me Home! This song is so real to me that I can’t hardly get through it!”

You will be taken to a precious place as you sit down to hear this song!

Pastor Mitch rounds out the recording by singing a classic Rusty Goodman song, “Who AM I.” Pastor’s baritone voice was made

for this song and he nails it.

He says of this great classic, “It is a little intimidating to step to the mic and sing a Rusty Goodman song that he wrote to sing himself.

However, the greatness of the song is always more than the instrument that wrote it!”

Who Am I” asks a question that thrills my soul every time I sing the song. It reminds me of the passage of Scripture that asks, “What is man that Thou Art mindful of him?” (Palms 8:4).

What A Great Day Will be released in mid-July. You will want to get a copy of it for yourself and one for a friend.

Thank you, Townesmen & Shelly for yet another wonderful blessing for the people of God.
