Spring 2019 MUSIC Rattle and Hum A U2 Tribute Saturday 02 February It’s no easy gig being a tribute band, particularly when your inspiration is U2. Meet Rattle and Hum. Coming from Dublin themselves has maybe given them an advantage over other U2 tribute bands, but it doesn’t end there. They are also impeccable and experienced musicians who possess both the physical power and psychic energy that playing the music of U2 to a live audience demands. With songs performed from U2’s debut album ‘Boy’, right up to present day album ‘Songs of Experience’, Rattle and Hum have it all covered. “The Finest Tribute Band on the Planet” – Hotpress tiMe: 9pM price: €15 FILM Rosie Wednesday 06 February Rosie Davis (Sarah Greene) is the managing type, more than equipped to handle her demanding household, who range from toddler to teenager. She’s got a devoted husband in John Paul (Moe Dunford), but he’s away at a restaurant job most of the day. Anyway his modest wages can’t compete in the brutal housing market they’ve been plunged into since having to leave their longtime abode two weeks ago. Homeless, the family is in an impossible situation, stuck with their belongings in the car all day, every day and meanwhile searching for accommodation. The strain is beginning to show. www.thesourceartscentre.ie Scripted by Roddy Doyle, the current housing crisis is shown in microcosm as one family struggles to survive. dir. pAddy breAtHnAcH, irelAnd, 2018, 86Min tiMe: 8pM price: €9/5 Box Office: 0504 90204 11
