Starting
point: Striking
and simple, the focus at this
point was to create an idea
and inspiration. I chose a
bold, monochrome colour
scheme with some striking
red text.
More dynamic: Focusing Turning
Background
Twomey
tweaks: I
found this image and felt
it better represented the
character
of
Twomey.
Reducing the intensity of
writing from black to white
gave a washed, more
neutral tone.

l took inspiration from other
publications with a more
traditional arrangement.
downsized: I
began to experiment with
other images and focused
on diversifying the covers

unfortunately left a deficit of
impact on the cover.

Taking
inspiration from Rolling
Stone, red seemed the way
forward. Focus here was
on less text and a more
contrastive composition of
image and script.
More like it: This better
combined text and image
and gave the page more
flow. I settled on the
background as indicative of
the audience and from now
on, focus was on tweaking
this design.
