Charles “Slider” & Christina “Pooter” Goebel Sooner State ABATE Sinners & Saints Outpost motorcycle rights organization for the Oklahoma Confederation of Clubs has and is, actively lobbying for legislative support for anti-motorcycle profiling. Must be The Sheriff’s department in Mays County has recently another brick in the wall of the enormous neglect left on come under criticism for motorcycle profiling in our state. our state by our legislators but that’s another story. I Motorcycle Profiling means “The illegal use of the fact will admit that one biker received a speeding ticket on that a person rides a motorcycle or wears motorcycle- his way home from the Pryor meeting. He was doing 68 related paraphernalia as a factor in deciding to stop and in a 65 mile an hour zone while being followed by the question, take enforcement action, arrest, or search a detaining officer. I guess that justifies the expense of this person or vehicle, with or without a legal basis under waste of tax payer money and the prejudices of the Mays the State or US Constitution.” Motorcycle profiling county Sheriff’s department. amounts to a publicly funded campaign of discrimination. Unconstitutional pull overs followed by unconstitutional Rayman interrogations under disguised coercion of not receiving a ticket or citation for some other violation which ignores and violates Supreme Court rulings that such actions are a violation of a citizen’s rights. So what justification could there be? They sure weren’t there to protect us. They were not there in case of violence (Our record speaks for itself). The only reason I can see was to send a “who’s in charge” message from law enforcements own acts of profiling and discrimination in our state. Again, at what expense! Some states have passed anti-motorcycle profiling legislation. In Oklahoma, Sooner State ABATE, the Seven Trooper’s, One County Sherriff and 2 Helicopters I’ve gotten used to seeing a local patrol car or two outside of our Confederation of Clubs meetings. Our strength is a Confederation of Clubs coming together to defend our Constitutional rights and further our motorcycle lifestyle. Our meetings are held in various locations across our state in order to reach motorcycle enthusiast and bikers throughout our state. We resolve differences peacefully, promote motorcycle safety and education and promote charity events for the common good. We effect change through the legislative process. These meetings are well attended with members from a variety of clubs and associations across our state. I tell myself that any local police officer or county sheriff will drop by local public events just to check on things and ensure the peace is being maintained. Well, you can imagine our surprise when SEVEN Oklahoma state troopers, ONE Mays county sheriff and TWO helicopters showed up last July during our Confederation of Clubs meeting in Mays County, Pryor Oklahoma. I wonder what the justification for all the additional expense to the tax payer was on a Sunday and all overtime at that! If you are an energized and an engaged self-starter looking for an opportunity to excel and grow within an exciting never before seen industry, with a publication that is the cutting edge of a NEW Marketplace, we want to meet you.
