Ultra Violet Write Up
In the fall issue, we gave you Pantone’s colors for the season. Now, we’re happy to tell you that they have announced their color of the year for 2018 and it’s rich, exciting, and gorgeous (all things we hope describe the year ahead): Ultra Violet.
To get ready for 2018, keep an eye out for all things purple. And, for your on-trend friends and family, consider last-minute Christmas gifts in violet shades, such as mugs, cell phone and computer accessories, office supplies, and anything you find in Sonder’s gift guide of course!
Consider adding Ultra Violet into your decorating with throw pillows and home accessories. Even Keurig has a “black plum” brewing system in a striking dark violet. The options are limitless. On Pantone’s main page, they’re also emphasizing a space theme with the year’s color. With cosmic images being popular recently, anything space-related and Ultra Violet should be easy to find. A tapestry, a new bedspread, or a work of cosmic art could bring this color into your bedroom for something rejuvenating to change up your space.
Finally, throw this striking violet into your wardrobe to spice up your favorite outfits! You can wear this color with nearly anything. This winter, try a new scarf or gloves, or check out this violet fur coat from Forever21 that can be worn with a little black dress and heels, adding a pop of color to a classic look.
