dreams in our faces with no intention
of helping us arrive at our destination.
The word He speaks over us will not
return to Him void (Isaiah 55:11). He
also does not want the very dream He
placed in our hearts to be the thing
that takes us out. It would be such a
bummer if I finally reached my goal,
only to crumble underneath the weight
of it! Every season matters. The

on Him. I cannot look to the left or to
the right. I cannot put my eyes on the
storm or the circumstances around
me. When I fix my eyes on Him and my
ears are listening to His voice alone, I
surely cannot fail.

what is around the corner, but He does.
If we surrender to Him and yield our
hearts to Him in every season, trusting
that He is creating a foundation inside
of us, when we step into our dream, we
will be ready and able to walk in it. He
doesn’t want us to just arrive at our
destination. He wants us to flourish in
it! Proverbs 16:9 says, “In their hearts After the birth of my second son,
Bear, I had really severe post-partum
depression. We had moved to a new
city, we were part of a church plant, we
needed a home, and my stepdad (who
was very much “dad” to me) passed
