Málaga victims of “ massive fraud ”

Around 30 unemployed people who arrived at Málaga ’ s bus station in early September expecting to be transported to France for seasonal work on the grape harvest were left bitterly disappointed . Ratification was first requested in 2007 by the then Environment Minister Cristina Narbona but it took until last spring to complete the debate , with the Partido Popular insisting on an exception for tail-docking in dogs which are bred for hunting . The country ’ s regional governments and individual town halls now have to ensure that their own local legislation on animal care meets the new national parameters .
Any surgical interventions will have to be authorised by a vet for medical reasons or to prevent reproduction , while modifying the appearance of an animal for non-curative purposes will be illegal . The suspect now detained was born in Jaén , where the largest number of victims was recorded , and previously lived in Antequera . He is thought to have defrauded € 85 from hundreds of people , totalling over € 16,000 , which police say he cleared out of his bank account on a daily basis .
