Boatyard Fundraiser
A massive thank you to El Varadero - The Boatyard Bar Nerja for hosting an amazing event on Saturday May 5 , which raised € 2380 . The monies raised were shared between APA Nerja and
Cuidad de los Niños in Málaga . Thank you to everyone who had involvement in the event and who came along on the day to support both of the charities . APA Nerja will use the monies raised to continue with the shelter repairs which are urgently needed due to the amount of dogs we are currently being asked to help and take off the streets .
Swedish Reunion
On May 19 , some of our Swedish adopters reunited for a sunny afternoon in Vasteras . Thank you guys for supporting APA Nerja and giving some of our dogs a wonderful home and
have a chip , they were taken into the care of APA Nerja . Carmilo is 43cm in height and weighs 14kg . Carmilo soon got used to walking on a lead and now he walks very well . He has a lot of energy and loves to go walking with our volunteers . Carmilo is a young , playful dog with a sweet nature . He gets on well with children and other dogs . He ’ s very friendly . His sister Regina has been adopted to Sweden and Carmilo would also love his own forever home .

Alex ’ s Shelter Appeal It ’ s a bit too hot for manual work down here at the shelter ; but we ’ re moving along slowly ! All the old pens have been demolished and cleared now , ready for work to begin on the last four pens . WE ’ RE ALMOST THERE ! We still need three gates and galvanised sheeting for the roofing . So please send your donations , however small , marked ‘ Shelter Repairs ’ or call into the APA Shop on Calle Chaparil .
Lots of APA dogs are coming and going this month ! Cutie Alert !! Lovely girl pups here now for me to admire ! The ‘ W ’ girlies are gorgeous : Wanda , Wiggle and Wendy ! You can admire all our dogs too , at the Doggy Photo Gallery at the APA shop ! Maybe pick up a bargain or two at the same time ! All the proceeds from the shop go to our Vets for the fantastic work they do for APA . Could you spare a couple of hours a week to help us at the shop ? We are always looking for extra volunteers . Come in and talk to us , we ’ d love to see you there !

Thank you everyone – every little thing you do really does help the APA family go forward ! thank you to Cecilia Ohlsson for organising the reunion . A fantastic day was had by all , both humans and dogs !
Dumped Puppies
Once again seven small puppies were torn from their mother and left outside our Shelter in early June . APA Nerja swung into action and foster families were found . This is not an easy task as people seem scared of fostering but this is the difference between life and death for a puppy and a future for an abandoned dog in our Shelter .

Our shop is situated on Calle Chaparil just down from the Clinica San Fernando Vets . Our opening times are 10:00-14:00 and 17:00-19:00 Monday to Friday and Saturday 10:00-14:00 . Please visit us . We sell a variety of items from clothes , to costume jewellery , pictures , books and much more .
