Very fine needles are placed on specific points on your face , in addition needles are also placed in other points such as the leg to improve energy flow in your overall body . By stimulating points the circulation is increased which improves the facial tone and helps minimise fine lines . The treatment increases the release of endorphins the “ feelgood ” chemicals , this effect can last for several days after a treatment . When cosmetic acupuncture is combined with Qigong ( an ancient Chinese energy technique ) and a healthy diet the aging process can be delayed .
Studies published in the International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture in 1996 showed that of 300 people who received Facial Acupuncture , 90 % demonstrated marked results after only their first treatment .
I have been studying and combining techniques in Acupuncture , Qigong and Reiki to develop a unique treatment which helps balance both mind and body . I believe that mind , body and soul are interconnected with an innate healing capacity . Having studied in Canada I was fortunate to benefit from the wisdom and teachings of renown masters in Chinese Medicine and Qigong . I combine my knowledge and experience to provide a unique treatment for each client .
