Opening of APA Charity Shop Ramses
The APA Nerja charity shop was officially opened on Monday
April 16. The ribbon was cut by our vet Expedito Cabra
Narvaez from
San Fernando
Veterinario.
There were
speeches by Lou
Adams, Head of
the APA Fund
Raising Team.
The opening was
attended by
Laura Leanne
Downes,
President of APA
Nerja, and many
of APA’s volunteers and friends
who all enjoyed a glass of cava to
celebrate. Thank you to all our
volunteers who worked so hard to
get the shop ready for its opening
day. The shop is situated on c/
Chaparil just down from the
Clinica San Fernando Vets. Our
opening times are 10:00-14:00 and
17:00-19:00 Monday to Friday and
Saturday 10:00-14:00. Ramses has been in the APA
shelter for about nine months. He
was rescued from the killing
station after being in the Police
pound in Nerja. He is
approximately two and a half
years old. He has such a sweet
nature, is very friendly with
people and loves a cuddle. Sadly,
Ramses doesn’t get out much as
you need to acquire a special
Ramses
licence to be able to walk him in
Spain. However, Ramses is
licensed and insured and is ready for re-homing.

Alex’s urgent shelter repairs appeal
Wow! Our shelter looks amazing! Phase 1 and 2 of the
refurbishment of the pens has been totally finished;
everywhere is clean and tidy, and bamboo

fantastic what our volunteer humans have
achieved – Thank You!
After all those weeks of bad weather, work
has started on the third and final phase!
This is a HUGE job as these pens ar
