Three dead as
assassin is detained
A suspect arrested last month after
three people were shot dead in Teruel
is believed to be a wanted assassin
known as “Igor the Russian.” Police
named the man as Norbert Feher, a 36-
year-old former Serbian soldier
already being sought by Interpol for
“several murders.”

since April when he is alleged to have
shot dead the owner of a kiosk and a
waiter in Italy, as well as a game-keeper

Events began the previous day at a
remote country house in the province
of Teruel where police were
investigating a separate incident in the
area on December 5 in which two
people were injured and a dog was
killed by gun fire. Until then,
investigators believed Feher was in
Málaga and it remains unclear why he
was in the north-eastern region of
Aragón. Later on December 15, Prime Minister
