She walked eight and fanned 12 in posting a 2.80 ERA in
the tournament.

GNAC Championships: The GNAC will determine its
automatic berth for the NCAA National Championships
with a four-team double elimination tournament Apr. 30 –
May 2 at Yakima.
Week of March 2-8: Player – Amanda Evola, Western
Oregon (CF, 5-7, Sr., Beaverton, OR - Westview), had nine
hits in 19 at bats, including two doubles and two home
runs to lead the Wolves to a four-game sweep against
Northwest Nazarene during which it outscored the Wolves
31-8. Evola also drove in six runs in raising her career
batting average to .399. That ranks sixth in GNAC history.
Only four players in conference history have finished their
careers with a .400 average. She currently ranks sixth in
career hits with 234 and fourth in RBI with 152. Pitcher –
Makinlee Sellevold, Western Washington (5-4, Fr., Everett,
WA - Cascade) posted a 4-0 record as the Vikings began
their conference season winning four of six contests.
Among the victories was a 5-0 shutout of Central
Washington Sunday. In 32 1/3 innings, she allowed just
eight runs, seven earned. She gave up 30 hits and walked
13, but only 18.6 percent of the runners who reached on a
hit or walk ended up scoring.
NCAA West Regional: Eight teams advance to the NCAA
Division II West Regional tournament that will be held at
two four-team sites May 7-10. The two sub-regional
winners will then play a best-of-three series May 15-16
with the winner advancing to the NCAA Elite 8 May 21-25
at Oklahoma City, Okla.
