InSight lands on Mars on 26 November 2018
On 26 November 2018, the NASA robotic lander, InSight (The Interior
Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport) designed
to study the deep interior of the planet Mar, landed in Elysium Planitia region of
the Red Planet. It was launched on May 5 th . Its mission is to conduct radio science
experiments in order to understand the internal structure and rotation of the planet.
