Phantom Thread
The movie is set in 1950s, and captures elegance and glamour of 1950’s post-war
London. The film’s main character is Reynolds Woodcock played by Daniel Day-
Lewis who finds his muse and lover in a young strong-willed woman Alma.
Though it’s full of elegance, glamour and extravagant dresses, the film also
portrays well the aspects of troubled, complicated relationships.
The dressmaker is at the peak of his fashion career, the British fashion scene, and
dressing royalty, movie stars, heiresses, socialites, debutants and dames .Its written
and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, Phantom Thread stars three-time
Academy Award-winning actor Daniel Day-Lewis, Lesley Manville, and Vicky
Krieps. The film has received six Oscar nominations.
Solo A Star Wars Story
is the sixth-most-expensive film ever made. It is a 2018 American space
Western film based on the Star Wars character Han Solo.
The young Han Solo finds adventure into the criminal underworld and he joins
forces with a gang of galactic smugglers and almost two hundred years old crook
named Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian.
The film was made with the budget of approx $275–300 million and was released
on 25 th May 2018 in USA. Directed by Ron Howard, produced by Lucas film and
distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it went on to become a major
hit. Alden Ehrenreich stars as Han Solo alongside Woody Harrelson, Emilia
Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Joonas Suotamo,
and Paul Bettany in the film.
