India
Your life, inspirations, aspirations
I am a self-taught painter who works with a pharmaceutical company based out of
Hyderabad, India. Apart from that, I am associated with music, writing and
photography. I am based at Guwahati, Assam, India and have been painting
professionally for a year now.
We celebrate the New Year in so many different ways in different parts of the
globe. How it is celebrated in your cultures?
I am a Bengali residing in Assam, one of the most beautiful places in India. Hence,
New Year comes with celebrations that take me to getaways with loved ones in
and around my place. Work takes me places at times but I make sure to spend the
year-end with my family. Being a self-declared ambivert, I enjoy the company of
only a few and the celebration is wherever I am.
Do people like to exchange cards, presents or sweets during these times? Would
you like to share with us your memories of any favourite card, gift or event from
the past?
Not so much now, but I remember hanging cards on threads of fairy lights,
received from friends and family which just looked amazing Also I always liked
the wintry chill in the air and the wafting smell of baked vanilla cookies.
What you expect from 2019? What you are going to do for you and your society
this year?
