9. Ty in a small bundle of black buck tail, one to each side. Allow the tips of the hair to extend back about as far as the red marabou tips. Secure and trim the butt ends.
10. Ty in 10 to 12 strands of pearl crystal flash so they lay over the top. The majority of the tips should extend slightly beyond the red marabou tips.
11. Test fit the #6 Fish Skull Mask. Add additional wraps of thread to build up a tapper from the eye back, (there should be no exposed shank) that will securely fit the mask with about 1/8” of space between the front of the mask and the hook eye. Whip finish and cut the thread away.
12. Apply a small amount of Gorilla glue to thread cone. Push the Mask into place. Add additional turns of thread in front of the mask as need to keep the mask in place. Whip finish.
13. Add the Eyes to the mask.
