5. Cut away a small bundle of the white buck tail, about half the diameter of a #2 pencil at the butt end. DO NOT stack the bundle. Tie the bundle in on the bottom of the hook shank. DO NOT allow the bundle to spin around the hook shank. Secure and trim the tag ends. The hair tips should extend about half the length of the marabou.

6. Cut away a small bundle of the gray buck tail, about half the diameter of a #2 pencil at the butt end. DO NOT stack the bundle. Tie the bundle in on top of the hook shank at the same point as the white bundle. DO NOT allow the bundle to spin around the hook shank. Secure and trim the tag ends. The hair tips should extend about half the length of the marabou.

7. Ty in another white bundle of buck tail hair to the bottom of the hook shank about a ¼” in front of the previous white hair bundle. DO NOT allow the hair to spin around the hook shank. The hair tips should extend as far back as the previous white bundle or a little farther. Secure with several tight turns of thread and trim the butt ends.

8. Ty in another gray bundle of buck tail hair to the top of the hook shank about a ¼” in front of the previous gray hair bundle. DO NOT allow the hair to spin around the hook shank. The hair tips should extend as far back as the previous gray bundle or a little farther. Secure with several tight turns of thread and trim the butt ends.
