I got my time in the front of the boat as well and that is where you realize the difference between a one man craft and a three man. Being able to just concentrate on the cast and the catching makes for quite a different experience, but then again, just time spent on a beautiful Ozark stream regardless of your position in the boat is always time well spent feeding the soul and that’s the real lesson.
We all enter the water more or less in the same way. Some trips maybe a little shorter, some longer but eventually we reach our take out. Don’t wait until then to realize that it’s not what your drifting in, it’s how you spent the time drifting.
