Akers is the general area where the water becomes too warm to support trout. Of course that can vary with the time of year and temperatures. In general, below Akers is smallmouth water.

The Current River and Jacks Fork River are outstanding locations for an outdoor get-a-way. Beautiful scenery and cool water, even in the hottest of months. Abundant accommodations from gravel bar campsite to locations that will put a smile on the face of the most discriminating Glamper.
