HARDLY STRICTLY MUSKY 2015

The musky, the muskellunge, esox masquinongy, the toothy predator... Known as the fish of 10,000 casts or more aptly named, the fish of 10,000 profanity laden phrases, all uttered while tossing a 10 weight rod and a sink tip line with a multi colored muppet orgy of multiple hooks with flash and chicken feathers.

On April 30th, 80 fly anglers from 17 different states descended upon the small town of McMinnville Tennessee. All arrived to test their skills against the southern musky as part of Hardly Strictly Musky Tournament 2015.

The pre-tournament get together was held at The Foglight Foodhouse, a great little bar and grill overlooking the Caney Fork River. It was great to see a lot of old friends and finally put some faces to names. The rules were discussed, participants were allowed to fish the Caney Fork River, Collins River, and any of their tributaries. The tournament kicked off Friday morning and ended at 6pm on Saturday evening. Greg Morgan and the rest of the Pig Farm Ink crew handed out trash bags and filled everyone in on the “Get Trashed” portion of the event. After devouring some burgers and beer, everyone headed back to base camp to prepare for the following morning.
