Pull the foam strip evenly over the top and tie down the strip at a position on the shank directly above the hook point. Continue wrapping the thread forward using tight close wraps to create a segmented section.
Lift the foam strip and wrap the thread 2 turns around the hook shank only.
Ty in the hackle by the end.
Wrap the hackle forward 4 or 5 turns around the shank of the hook . Secure with a few wraps of thread and trim the tag end.
Pull the foam strip evenly over the top of the hackle and secure with a few wraps of thread. Continue wrapping the thread forward, using tight close wraps to create a segmented section.
Lift the foam strip and advance the thread forward wrapping around the shank only. Ty in 2 strips of the mini rubber leg material. Position them so the 2 pieces extend 1 on each side of the eye.
Position the thread right up to the back of the eye. Pull the foam evenly over the top of the shank and secure with several wraps of thread.
