Meet the 2018 GSSNE

Summer Camp Directors!

The sun is shining, birds are chirping, and summer is here!

We wanted to introduce you to these camp lovers who are the GSSNE 2018 Summer Camp Directors; read on and find out

what makes camp so special for these Girl Scouts.

Camp Cookie:

Kristin Scribner, "Scribbles"

Hi All, Scribbles here! This will be my third year as a Camp Director for GSSNE and I cannot wait to meet new campers and welcome back our returning ones. For those of you who don't know, my camp name was given to me by a former Daisy Girl Scout who thought that was my actual name. I love being outside and learning new things, and I particularly enjoy hiking, skiing, and camping with both my troop and my family. Looking forward to an awesome camp year!

Camp Hoffman:

Michelle Burke, Interim Director, "Timber"

Don't be confused, yes you already met me on page 4! I am the new Outdoor Program Manager for GSSNE, but I will also be working as the interim Camp Director at Hoffman and I am so excited! I look forward to getting out from behind my desk and out into the woods and waterfront. A few more fun facts about me: I have a terrible sense of direction and during a previous staff training activity I led my partner almost 2 hours off course. It was a race and even after that we still ended up 4th out of 10 teams. Don't worry, I assure you I will have a compass at camp! I know how to build a log cabin, and play the guitar. I have a rescue dog who is a Black Mouth Cur named Bob Barker. I look forward to meeting our Hoffman campers and learning about what makes camp so special to YOU!
