Through Summer!
Ready to sing? My message in this edition of S'more News can be sung to the tune of "Raindrops on Roses" from the Sound of Music!
Just as Maria felt alive in the mountains in Austria, so do those of
us who have experienced Day or Resident Camp.
Whether those of you reading this have personally experienced
the magic of camp, are sending a girl to camp, or providing a campership to a girl who could not otherwise attend, this song is for you!
S'mores around campfires and free swim and boating;
Tent mates who be-come best friend-ends forever;
Trying new thing-ings like archery and the climbing wall;
Makes me feel I can do anything at all!
Waking up my buddy in the middle of the night;
Early morning polar bear swims and late night talks in bed-ed;
Wondering on day one if I’d miss too much at home;
Then not wanting to leave on my last day at camp!
When the mosquitoes bite
When thunder and lightning strikes
When I hear strange noises at night
I have such adventures with counselors and friends, I just can
not wait...for the summer!
