Sadly, longtime Girl Scout, Virginia Moss-Newhall, passed away in May and we wanted to share her obituary with you. To Ginny's family and friends, our heartfelt condolences. GSSNE greatly appreciates all she

Moss-Newhall, Virginia M. (Pruitt), 88, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 16, 2018. As a beloved wife of Kenneth Newhall for 29 years they enjoyed the outdoors, camping in Maine and traveling. Family meant so much to Virginia. She was a devoted mother to Thomas Moss and wife, Donna, the late Gary Moss and wife, Margaret, and Karen Krueger and husband Keith, grandmother to Jenn and Michelle Moss, Julie West and Katie Krueger and great-grandmother to Eliza West. She was the beloved sister of John Pruitt and wife Patt. Virginia was predeceased by her first husband of 24 years, Commander Daniel Moss of the U.S. Navy. Virginia retired as Assistant Executive Director of Girl Scouts of Rhode Island after 23 years of service. She loved serving at her church and leading Bible Studies. Virginia will be remembered as a woman who loved and was devoted to the Lord, her family and friends and as one who lit up the room with her “full of life” personality and contagious laughter.
