When customers buy Girl Scout Cookies, they’re helping power unique, and amazing experiences for girls. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from local Girl Scout Cookie sales stay within Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England! So many experiences are powered by Girl Scout Cookies!
When customers purchase a package of cookies, troops and service units earn proceeds, girls earn recognition items and camp credits, and the purchase helps fund council programs, camp upkeep, financial aid, and more!
In 2019, GSSNE along with many councils nationwide will be increasing the selling price of cookies. Increasing to $5.00 for the eight standard varieties and $6.00 for the gluten-free cookie—this is GSSNE’s first price change in the past eight years. Just as our daily costs continue to increase, costs associated with the cookie sale have also gone up. With this increase we will be able to increase the amount of proceeds to troops and also offer new service unit proceeds!
Credit Cards and the Girl Scout Cookie Program
New for 2019, girls can now take credit cards through the ABC Smart Cookies
app and website (www.abcsmartcookies.com)! Girls can now accept credit card payments at time of cookie delivery on any device—smart phones, tablets or desktop. No extra devices required! Simply enter the credit card information or scan with your iOS device. The payment will be credited directly to the girl, so this option is not available to use at booth sales. Council recommends obtaining a reader such as Square for troop use at booth sales that can be linked directly to the troop bank account. Troops are required to pay the fees associated with the Smart Cookies credit card option or any device that is acquired for booth sales and are not permitted to pass fees along to customers. Epayments for Troop Bills
Last cookie season, GSSNE offered a new epayment option for troops to pay
