It ’ s a constant battle . How can you get parents to pay for school when they can send their kids for free to the local public school ? Parents will tell you that they are most willing to pay for an education that makes their kids smarter than the free education can .

It ’ s one of the biggest motivators for families to put their children in private school . It ’ s easy for a school to say they can make students smarter ; yet how can a school develop a curriculum that really does make kids smarter ?
Fortunately , there ’ s research that gives us some hints about what this curriculum should be . An article in The Atlantic ( August 12 , 2015 ) compiled multiple studies and came to some very interesting conclusions . These studies looked at how well people retain knowledge years and even decades after their formal education is over . Amazingly , there were some clear indicators for which type of information they would retain .
For instance , one study asked 1,168 adults to take an exam they had taken in college . All of them had taken the test at least three years prior ; and some hadn ’ t taken it for 16
