When you won’t lead unless you have followers, or unless you are 1000% sure you have it ‘right’ before you start, you won’t ever move past start. It’s your choice to be more that makes the greatest difference! What would it create to ask, “If I was truly being the leader I could be, what would I choose here?” instead of shying away from the ‘hard’ decisions.

What if you would trust what you KNOW?

Most people start their business based on hope and doubt. It’s a potent mix that can send you heading for disaster. Instead, ask, ‘What do I know here that I haven’t been willing to acknowledge that I know?’ When you listen to the whispers, you will expand your awareness of the possibilities available to you. When you doubt you, the only whispers you hear are the crazy tricks of your own mind, or the not so brilliant advice of other people. If you’re going to have a business, have your own back. It will repay you a thousand times over!

What if you would ask what can you contribute and create, rather than what challenge can you overcome?

When you create possibilities instead of problems, your business can have ease and a flow that most businesses never achieve. When you invite your business to be a contribution to the world, the world also contributes to your business. What is being a contribution? Creating a business that invites possibilities that don’t rely on fear or judgment to motivate customers to buy, that allow people to be who they are, rather than expecting them to be something or someone they are not.

So often business is created from an unrealistic set of expectations and conclusions about how everything ‘should’ be. Imagine a world where business is created from the creative possibilities instead.

Most people don’t think that business can be fun. If you make it into something that you suffer through, your business will always struggle. If you invite your business to be fun for everyone who comes into contact with it, there will always be new possibilities and choices available.

Even in circumstances that would make most people stressed, it’s possible to relax, not make it significant and ask, ‘what else is possible here?’ New ways of being in business show up when we go beyond the conclusions that everyone else would make. Are you willing to be the leader you know you can be and create your reality with business? One where your business can benefit the good of all, not just the stakeholders? When you choose this, your small business has the possibility of becoming a world-changing organization.
