people in jobs in the community. Most in small to medium businesses. Graduates from the SFGH Vocational Rehabilitation Program are working as Peer Counselors and Job Coaches at UCSF and the City of SF helping other people recovering from mental illness get back to work. Other graduates are working for the City of San Francisco, San Francisco Health Plan, TJ Maxx, Trader Joes, Kara’s Cupcakes and the Salvation Army, to name a few.

TW: Bottom line it for any small business owners that might be interested in contacting you about your program. What do we need to know going in and what's the process for hiring a graduate?

MO: I like to tell businesses, especially small businesses that we are like the Verizon commercial - you’re not only getting a qualified worker but you’re getting access to a network of tax and other incentives and expertise that will add value to your business.
